“Madison was an absolute pleasure to work with! Her calm and caring demeanor made my husband and I so comfortable as first time parents who needed extra support. She is truly a baby whisperer – we were confident our daughter was cared for during her night shifts and she always gave us a detailed report on how the night went. We cannot recommend her enough!”

~Anya  (Postpartum Overnight Client)

“We absolutely loved having Madison as a postpartum doula. She brings an amazingly bright and positive energy and was extremely helpful with things around the house and with our baby. She is very experienced and knowledgeable with babies and gave me so many awesome tips while she was here, like how to swaddle effectively and use my baby wearing gear. Our newborn had his days and nights flipped and she gave us suggestions on things we could do to flip his sleep schedule that were very effective. She was really nice to have around, it felt like having a good friend or sister over and her presence was great while I was going through immediate postpartum. I will be recommending her to any of my friends that are expecting!”

~Jackie (Postpartum Daytime Client)

Excellent post partum support. There’s so much newborn education we learned that out hospital never taught us (especially as first time parents). Super responsive to all our messages, which was key in alleviating anxieties that would come up. if Madison didn’t have the answer, she was able to refer us to a tried and trusted expert who could help (ie lactation consultant). The night shifts were so important for our mental sanity, and the logs that she kept really helped us learn about our babies sleep and how to improve it (which was especially rough 6-8 weeks, but we are so grateful Madison taught us how to navigate it). Loved the communication and professionalism. Would recommend to anyone needing support through their 4th trimester journey. Raising a newborn really takes a trusted village, and Madison really feels like family in how she approaches things.”

Commonly Asked Questions

What Is A Postpartum Doula?

A postpartum doula is a support person for birthing people, newborns & their families in a non-medical manner. Postpartum doulas have special expertise in the first 3 months postpartum (also known as the 4th trimester) making them helpful in this new adjustment. By offering support during this transitional time, families are able to feel confident in their parenting skills and enjoy the ‘Serene Moments’!

What Tasks do Doulas Complete?

Postpartum doulas’ provide a variety of support depending on the clients needs on any given day. Check out (insert page here) to find out more about those tasks!

How Long Does a Doula Work with a Family?

Postpartum doulas’ have expertise in the first 3 months of life, which is also known as the 4th trimester. However, this does not mean that support needs to be exactly 3 months. Some clients request support everyday for the first week or two and others do a day or two a week for the full 3 months. However, our average time with clients is about 7-8 weeks.

What Areas do you service?

For postpartum support, I service the greater Merrimack Valley area. Anything within a 35 mile round trip radius of me (Lowell, MA) is included in pricing listed. For clients outside of the 35 mile round trip radius, an aditional charge per mile (according to the current IRS rate) will be added to invoices! For sleep support, I am able to service almost anywhere since support is done virtually!

What is the Payment Process?

Upon your decision to move forward with postpartum or sleep support, you will be emailed a few documents to sign as well as an invoice. For sleep clients, the invoice must be paid in full and once that is sent I will begin preparing your specialized sleep plan. For postpartum clients, there is a 20% deposit due to hold your spot and then payment will be due every Saturday at midnight for the following weeks worth of service.

What Is Your Method of Sleep Training?

There are many methods and approaches I use when it comes to sleep training. I truly believe that success is best met when the method of sleep training that is being implemented truly matches the child’s personality, the parenting style & the family as a whole. This means that depending on the child, parents & family different methods are suggested and implemented. This is why I make a specialized sleep plan for each child that I work with!

Why Is Your Sleep Training Virtual?

I truly believe that sleep training is all about confidence & consistency. Sleep training is something that once implemented has to be kept consistent. Therefore, I find that virtual support works best as I am not only able to teach the child to sleep, but I am able to educate and empower parents in supporting their child through this process. Once they have established healthy sleep hygiene with their child they are able to keep things consistent and when things derail the child’s sleep (such as teething, vacations, daylight savings, sleep regression, etc.) they are able to re-establish these skills.
